All of the drivers are kind and helpful, as well as competent drivers. David came into the Appleton airport and found me before I found him. Jim helped me find what I needed in Hobby Lobby – his schedule was tight so instead of rushing me he helped me. Don managed to drive safely and easily on the roundabouts in spite of my constant questions about his career as a race car driver. This whole service is wonderful, life-changing and life-enhancing.

I along with my family am very pleased with the care that my mother is receiving in Manor View. Evergreen has the resources to handle each level of care. This has provided me with a level of comfort as I know that Mom will have a smooth transition as her needs change.

One of the main core values of social work is dignity and worth of a person. Volunteering here (at Evergreen) really put that value into perspective for me. I treated each resident in a caring and respectful fashion, while always keeping in mind their differences. I also tried to address resident's personal needs, while still trying to enhance their over-all well-being. Volunteering here increased not only my social skills, but my relationship skills as well. The positive attitudes and high spirits of the residents made me extremely happy and really validated for me that this is the population that I do want to work with in the future as a social worker.

As a member of the Grand Opera House Foundation Board of Directors and one of the folks rolling up his shirt sleeves for the "Oshkosh on Broadway" fundraiser, let me personally thank you for all you and your colleagues have done to make the Evergreen studio available to "us amateurs." Having a community partner like Evergreen support our efforts to help keep the Grand a community place and beacon that educates and nurtures kids, giving them a powerful immersion into the lifelong value of theatre and the arts, is a source of immense pride. Cannot thank you enough for helping us in our mission.

There is a song from Camelot that includes the line "simply not a more congenial spot for happy ever-aftering than Camelot." I would change it to "simply not a more congenial spot for happy ever-aftering than Evergreen!"

My mom recently moved from the Village (Evergreen independent condo-style living) to Garden Place (Evergreen assisted living apartments). She is adjusting really well to her new home and we can already tell that she is enjoying the benefits of being "where the action is." We are thankful for the activities she has enjoyed - piano recital, Spanish dancer, holiday vendor fair, to name a few - and that she does not have to concern herself with the weather in order to participate! Enjoying the delicious meals at the Evergreen restaurant (The GardenSide) every day has also been a major benefit. All of these socializing opportunities have really brightened her outlook in ways we all notice!

I did not know what to expect when I took this internship (at Evergreen) but I found that everyone was very welcoming and kind. I learned many things but the thing that stood out the most was teamwork. I found that everyone in this building has an individual job of importance. When you are able to get all the individuals working together as one, you get something very special, which is Evergreen.

The staff are all very knowledgeable and professional. When I was given outpatient services, the program was adjusted to strengthen muscles for activities of daily living (carrying groceries, etc.) while maintaining balance. I would recommend this rehab to anyone.

I didn't know what to expect. But this place is so vital and alive! There is youth and vitality at Evergreen. I'm glad I live here!
