Evergreen Foundation

Nourishing Dreams of Today and Strengthening Dreams for Tomorrow

Evergreen was conceived by Howard and Ruth Rowland whose dream of a retirement community would provide dignity, comfort, and security. In partnership with the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church, Evergreen Manor, now called Evergreen, became reality in 1967. The Rowland legacy was born.

Evergreen, a community of faith, opportunities and choices, provides for age-related changes; fosters personal and spiritual growth; encourages independence and wellness for people of all faiths and abilities. We burst with pride over the endless, life-long learning opportunities and services we offer for residents of all abilities.

Evergreen, a community of inspiration and joy, strives to meet the physical, social, intellectual, emotional, vocational, environmental, and spiritual needs of all residents. Our Wellness lifestyle balances the health and well-being of mind, body, and spirit.

The Evergreen Foundation helps secure the Rowlands’ legacy and nourishes the history of Evergreen pride and joy. While giving to the Evergreen Foundation comes in many sizes and through many different ways, its impact remains the same. Giving changes the course of history and has unquestionably changed ours. The generous giving of all donors continues to help Evergreen implement changes, launch improvements, realize growth and pave the way for generations to come.

Evergreen and the Evergreen Foundation together, as family, inspire and nourish one another to see dreams accomplished and the Rowland legacy continued. We give thanks for our Evergreen family - residents, families, staff and friends - and our Evergreen Foundation Family of Friends and Leave a Legacy Guild. We pray for God’s choicest blessings upon all.
